My name is Bailey Schiffel, and I have been lucky enough to find my passion in life at an early age. It is designing and making unique and meaningful pieces of jewelry.
I grew up on the east coast in Wilmington, North Carolina. After attending Cape Fear Academy, a small private school that nurtured my creative side in all that I did, I set off for undergraduate school at the University of Georgia. UGA was a perfect fit for me, and as I was working to obtain my degree in Interior Design I discovered jewelry design. While studying for the summer in Cortona, Italy I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in jewelry design.
Even though I am not working as an interior designer, I use the skills that I learned and the knowledge that I acquired in my major to create my jewelry. The Be by Bailey line is designed entirely on the computer using computer aided design software. The pieces are then printed in a 3D format so that they can be cast in metal and hand finished.
I believe that our paths are altered and determined by the people that we meet and the places that we go. I want to thank my family, friends, and teachers for how they motivated and pushed me to follow my dreams. I could not have done this without their patience, love, support, and encouragement.
